Dear Friend - Welcome!

This is the 2nd edition of the 'Mastering AI in AEC' newsletter, and if you've missed the first edition, you can find it here.

In this email, as promised, I'm sharing the results of the Google Form survey the large majority of you completed, as a small thank you for your time.

The results are telling a great story and they really helped me understand your wants and wishes for the course. Some answers were more surprising than others, but all of them are allowing me to draw many great conclusions. I have written some of these conclusions in this email, and I attached the graphs for your own analysis, as they'll probably help you understand the AEC industry a bit better too!

There were 9 questions in total:

• 7 questions were multiple choice and they are presented here. 
• 2 last ones are left out as they are containing personal information.
  (They asked about 'the one thing' that you'd like to get out of this course (a gold mine for me!) and the last field was the email field.)

So, here we go!

1. The Interest

This graph speaks for itself - the large majority of you are interested in a comprehensive AI in AEC course, and as I said last week, I'm working around the clock to turn this into reality ASAP. I'm incredibly happy to see this, as I feel that my 'leap of faith' into entrepreneurship might have not been in vain, given I aim to fill a great need in the industry for AI knowledge and skills.

2. Work Classification

Almost half of the people on the list work within architecture! And a surprisingly few work within construction... And then there are many people who didn't quite 'fit' within the answers - don't worry - I see you too.

Even though I found this graph a bit surprising, I'm guessing the majority being in architecture is the result of me being at BIG for the last 2 years, and guessing that most of you might know me from there.

Finally, regardless of what you answered here, I will do my best to cover your use case and your profession in the upcoming course, as I aim to cover widely within the AEC - from real estate to facility management.

3. The Experience

I was incredibly happy to see this graph!

Why?

Because regardless of the seniority, all of us see AI as a major technological chance in the industry - and want to learn more!

What surprised me though was a relatively small number of students, but given I'll be visiting some universities soon, I hope for this percentage to increase at least a little bit.

4. The AI State

Again, this graph made me very happy!

As you can see, most of us did try some major AI tools out there, but we might have missed the right use case, the time, or simply the know-how to keep using AI and become more proficient.

With the 'Mastering AI in AEC' course, I'm aiming to have great insights and use cases for all three groups, but with a slight focus on AI fundamentals of course, as I see many are in the initial phase of AI learning.

5. The Challenge

These answers form the core of the 'Mastering AI in AEC' course. In other words, if you're asking me what problems am I trying to solve with the course and what solutions will I present - this is the graph that says it all.

6. The Learning Goal

Similar to the question before, this graph is the key to unlock the power of 'Mastering AI in AEC' course.

Why?

Because it tells me so much of what you wish to have in the course and how to structure it. I can't wait to reveal more!

7. The Learning Path

I'll be honest with you - this graph was crucial for me, as I understood that most learn best through self-paced courses, and not through social media - which I thought will be of a much higher percentage.

Note to self: a bit less focus on social media, and a lot more focus on courses, workshops, blogs, and practical case studies!

And that's a wrap!

As mentioned, the last 2 questions contain personal information, which is why I can't share them here, but they are a gold mine of more specific information, feedback, and insights - thank you and know that I'm analysing those too!

The survey is still open for changes and for others to fill and I'll be keeping an eye on any changes there.

In any case, I hope you appreciate me sharing these results with you, as I appreciate you filling the survey.

I'm sharing them as they might give you ideas on how to approach AI within your own life, your own organizations and companies, as I believe that only a wide-spread implementation will help us reach our common AEC goals.
